Projects

Class Web Page
This was a web site I built to explore AWS. I used AWS Cognito, AWS Amplify, AWS DynamoDB and AWS IAM for user authentication. I orginally created it thinking it would be a good project for the whole class to work on in our spare time. As it ended up we had no spare time, thus I recieved little interest from anyone about helping! Therefore it never attained its intended glory! You will have to create an account since one of its purposes is User Authentication!

About Me
During Covid, I decided I was going to teach myself web development and computer programming. Since then I have been on a relentless quest for technological knowledge and skills. I started Harvard University's CS50 course. It provided a great foundation for me to build on, but I thirsted for more! I started taking every online course I could find, I even had multiple phone apps for learning JavaScript so I could learn while I wasn't home! Eventually I was introduced to The Odin Project, an 8 month Full Stack Web Development course. It came highly recommended, so I gave it a shot. It took me almost an entire year to complete, but I simply can not say enough about how amazing of a resource it turned out to be. I learned everything from HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node, Git, JSON, Web APIs, and that's just that's just to name a few. Shortly after completing The Odin Project, I was presented with an even more amazing educational offer in the form of being accepted to Per Scholas! I was offered a chance to join the AWS ReStart Program. Not Only was I able to learn Cloud Computing, while earning my AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification, but we learned tons of other stuff alone the way. Things like Networking, Security, and Databases. I was even able to pick up a new language, Python! In addition to everything I have already learned, as a graduate of Per Scholas I have access to their Alumni Continued Education programs and Learning Support for 2 years. Resources I plan to fully exhaust over the next couple years.
